Sculptures of a Great Belarusian Master

On 26 May 2026, international students enrolled in the educational programme of the "Russian as a Foreign Language" course visited the Z.I. Azgur Memorial Museum-Workshop, accompanied by Senior Lecturer O.G. Sokolnik.

During the excursion, the international students had a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the creative atmosphere of the distinguished Soviet and Belarusian sculptor, Zair Azgur.

The tour guide acquainted the foreign guests with the history behind the creation of monumental memorials, the techniques of working with plaster and bronze, as well as the master's personal story. With great interest the students examined the sculptures of famous historical figures, writers, poets, and war heroes.

The museum made a deep impression on the students through its authenticity: the workshop has fully preserved the artist's personal belongings, his tools, worktables, and library.

Such excursions not only broaden the horizons of international students and introduce them to the cultural heritage of Belarus, but also serve as excellent practice for developing language skills and expanding vocabulary in the fields of art and history.
